Interior Renovation of Khizer Tikka Gujranwala | Commercial Kitchen & Washroom Redesign
This project is a complete interior renovation of a commercial food lounge / physical café setup, where the client wanted to redesign their main ground-level branch to improve functionality, hygiene, privacy, and overall customer experience. The existing interior layout was outdated, inefficient, and not suitable for a growing business with multiple investors involved. One of the biggest issues in the old layout was the poorly designed kitchen and washroom areas. The kitchen lacked proper zoning, there was no defined washing area, and food preparation activities were overlapping with customer circulation. Additionally, there was no separate washroom for ladies, which is a major requirement for modern commercial spaces and a critical factor for customer comfort. At Naqshawala, we started this renovation by completely stripping the existing layout and rethinking the space from scratch. The goal was not just renovation, but professional space planning that supports smooth operations, investor confidence, and long-term scalability. A major requirement from the client was to create a proper back kitchen and washing area, completely hidden from customers. They clearly wanted that customers sitting in the dining or lounge area should not see or interact with kitchen staff, washing activities, or preparation zones. This separation was achieved by designing a back-of-house layout, ensuring privacy, cleanliness, and a premium customer-facing environment. The kitchen was redesigned with clear zoning: Dedicated cooking area Separate washing and cleaning zone Proper pantry and storage area A specialized salad preparation section, isolated from hot kitchen operations for hygiene and efficiency This salad and pantry area was specifically requested by the client to improve food quality and speed of service, especially during rush hours. Such zoning is essential in modern food businesses and also helps in meeting health and safety standards. Another important aspect of this project was washroom planning. We introduced separate washrooms for ladies and gents, designed in a way that they are accessible but discreet, maintaining privacy while being easy to locate. Proper ventilation, circulation, and material selection were also considered to ensure durability and cleanliness. Since the business involves around 8 investors, the design also needed to look professional, scalable, and financially sensible. The renovation plan was created in a way that improves workflow, reduces staff movement conflicts, and increases operational efficiency — all of which directly impact profitability and investor satisfaction. The final renovation plan transformed the space into a fully functional commercial interior, suitable for smooth daily operations, better customer experience, and future business growth. From circulation planning to service separation, everything was designed to meet real operational needs rather than just visual appeal. This project clearly reflects Naqshawala’s approach to commercial renovation — not just changing finishes, but redesigning how a space works. Whether it’s a café, food lounge, restaurant, or commercial kitchen, we focus on planning that supports business success, hygiene standards, and customer comfort. This renovation proves that with the right naksha, naqsha planning, and professional renovation strategy, even an inefficient commercial space can be converted into a modern, profitable, and investor-ready business environment.
